QUOTABLE
TWU head coach Michael Shearon
"For the most part we played okay, except for two corner kicks. We controlled the game a lot. The whole second half I thought we were mostly in their side. They didn't really do anything, as they didn't have to because they were two-nil up. But overall, I thought we were fine. We did a lot of good things; we need to take our chances and score goals and get back to the winning ways. It's not going to be any easier tomorrow night playing UBC we'll have to see what our guys come out with and if we're willing to compete in all phases of the game."

AS IT HAPPENED
The Vikes were able to convert their opportunities in the first half to take a 2-0 lead after 45 minutes. Victoria's Ole Cameron opened the scoring by converting a pass from Javier Sagaste in the 25th minute. The Vikes made it 2-0 when a corner kick by Harry Ritter West resulted in an own goal for Victoria in the 38th minute. TWU had a 7-6 edge in total shots, while Victoria had a 4-2 edge in shots on goal.

Both teams had opportunities in the second half with TWU outshooting Victoria 7-5, but neither team was able to add to the scoring as the Vikes ended the match with a 2-0 win.
