LANGLEY, British Columbia – Two Spartans have been named Canada West All-Stars after Trinity Western's 8-4-2 regular season and a third-place finish in the Pacific Division.
Four-time all-star fourth-year defender
Tilly James (Vancouver, B.C.) and three-time all-star third-year forward
Sophie Crowther (New Westminster, B.C.) headline the Spartans squad being recognized as a first-team all-star, and a second-team all-star. Both James and Crowther were also named to the Canada West rookie team in their first year, with Crowther taking home Canada West Rookie of the Year honours two years ago. Last season James was also named all-Canadian.
James finished the regular season with two goals and one assist through 11 matches played, on a Spartan defence that finished sixth in CW in goals against per game with 1.21, including three shutouts. Crowther, who played in eight games due to injury, finished the season with three goals, and two assists. She finished the season with 17 shots on goal on a Spartan team who finished seventh in Canada West with 1.79 goals per games.
