QUOTABLE
TWU head coach Peter Hay
"We played good enough to win today. We kept Calgary's danger chances down from last night but when we had prime scoring chances in the first we didn't burry them which allowed Calgary in the game and they did score. Coming back at the end to almost tie it up shows our character and never give up attitude so we can take that as part of our successful process regardless if the outcome didn't go our way. Another week ahead to get better and be ready for a road trip to Regina."

AS IT HAPPENED
The Dinos got on the board first with a goal from Sophia Zuck at 8:52. Despite opportunities from both teams it would be the only goal of the opening 20 minutes with the Dinos leading 1-0 heading into the first intermission. TWU finished the period outshooting Calgary 11-6.

Calgary's April Klarenbach made it 2-0 at 13:30 of the second period when you picked up a lose puck in front of the Spartans net and beat Fawcett. Calgary outshot TWU 11-9 in the second period.

The Dinos' Rebecca Clarke got the game winner at 6:14 of the third. Had chances throughout the period but didn't solve Awad until the final minute. Anderson got TWU their first at 19:06, and Yackel followed up 12 seconds later at 19:18 with Fawcett on the TWU bench. Unfortunately, the Spartans were unable to find another as the Dinos held on for the 3-2 win. The Dinos had a 9-7 edge in shots in the final period.
