QUOTABLE
TWU head coach Peter Hay
"We won which is good and it's nice to move up the standings as we fight early in the season for playoff positioning. I think we have more to give and can clean up a few things to be better tomorrow and try to complete the weekend sweep. However, we know it won't be easy."

"It was great to see our rookie Ashley Breitkreuz score her first U SPORTS goal and get first star. Fawcett held her own when we gave up some dangerous shots on some bad turnovers. The D core played well once we made some adjustments and we had some good nights from some forwards, but we need more from all four lines as we work towards a complete 60 minute game from everyone."

AS IT HAPPENED

After a scoreless second period, where the Huskies outshot the Spartans 11-7. TWU got back on the scoresheet when Matthews scored at 1:29 of the period. Saskatchewan's Hill broke Fawcett's shutout bid at 16:28 of the final period. Both teams had 10 shots on goal in the final period.
