SPARTANS FALL TO SEATTLE UNIVERSITY

LANGLEY, British Columbia –The Trinity Western Spartans dropped a 1-0 decision to NCAA Div. I Seattle  Redhawks in a spring-friendly Saturday afternoon at Chase Office Field in Langley, B.C.

QUOTABLE
TWU Head Coach Graham Roxburgh
"Overall there were some very good components of our game today but I am disappointed that we weren't more clinical or intelligent in our attack. Credit to both keepers who made outstanding saves otherwise it could have easily been 2-2."

"Our defending core was really good in the first half and we generated enough chances to get back into the game. I thought that it was a pretty even game and I thought we passed well for a stretch in both halves but we need to make better decisions with the ball or we will expend so much energy winning it back that it affects our ability to keep the ball."

NOTABLE

  • Today's match was the first time that the Redhawks have played on the Spartans' home pitch.
