UP NEXT
The Spartans will now head to Kelowna, B.C., to take on the UBC Okanagan Heat on Sunday, October 19, at 1 p.m. (PT) for the final Canada West conference game.

AS IT HAPPENED
The WolfPack started the contest on the front foot and were able to put sustained pressure on the Spartans. But it was TWU that struck first. On a counterattack, Dan-Adokiene was able to get space up the left side of the park. Dan-Adokiene cut back towards the middle of the penalty area and, from a through traffic, was able to send a shot to the top left corner of the WolfPack net to put the Spartans up 1-0 in the sixth minute. The early goal would stand as the lone goal of the half with TWU up 1-0 after 45 minutes. TRU finished the half with a 9-7 edge in total shots, but the Spartans had the edge in shots on goal at 5-3.

Both teams had opportunities in the second half, with WolfPack dominating the chances, but unable to get the equalizer. Thompson Rivers would outshoot Trinity Western 8-0 and have a 5-1 edge in corner kicks in the final 45 minutes as TWU held on to the much-needed 1-0 win.
