TWU head coach Cheryl Jean-Paul
"Tonight's win is a great start to the regular season. Even though we started out slow, we weathered the storm and our response for the remainder of the game was solid. We knew there were a few areas that we had to focus on to regain momentum and our care of the ball and better shot selection allowed us to push our lead early in the second half. Definitely some areas to continue developing but I thought we followed our game plan, managed their pushes and had some timely scores by both Colette and Cassidy to maintain our lead at the end."
