LANGLEY, British Columbia —The No. 4 Mount Royal Cougars were too much for the Trinity Western Spartans Friday night. The Cougars handed the Spartans an 8-0 loss on Friday night at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C. The loss drops the Spartans to 3-21-0-3, while the win improves the Cougars to 21-5-0-0.
Scoring for the Cougars were Teague Patton with three goals, 2-6:14, 2-10:06, 3-814, Justin Lies with two goals, 1-17:08, 3-16:10, Robbie Holmes 2-8:30, Connor Bouchard 3-1:28, and Justin Lies 3-16:10.
Third-year goalie
Leon Sommer (Linz, Aust.) made 47 saves Spartans in the loss. Shane Farkas made 12 saves to earn the shut-out win for the Cougars.

The Spartans will finish their 2024-25 season tomorrow afternoon against the Cougars with a 3:30 afternoon game at the Chilliwack Coliseum in Chilliwack, B.C.
