LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western fifth-year guards
Josh Belvin (Long Beach, Calf.) and
Jerric Palma have been named Canada West all-stars.
Belvin earned his first all-star honour by being named to the Canada West second team, while Palma earned his first Canada West all-star with a third-team nod. Belvin, a communications student, finished averaging 16.1 points per game (12
th in CW), with a Canada West best and TWU record 65 steals, to go with 45 assists (25
th). Belvin also set the TWU single-game scoring record with 43 points in his final home game as a Spartan. Palma, a graduate business student, led the Spartans in scoring with 17.4 points per game (9
th) and was second in assists with 64 (16
th), he was also first in Canada West in made and attempted three-pointers finishing 65-175.
Belvin and Palma led the Spartans to a 12-8 record and a third-place finish in the Pacific Division. TWU defeated the Brandon Bobcats 101-90 in the play-in game before falling to No. 3 Calgary 98-84 in the Canada West quarter-final.

About Spartan Athletics
As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 13 sports in the Canada West conference, including women's and men's soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, cross country and track & field, as well as women's rugby sevens.
