SPARTANS DROP PHYSICAL FIRST GAME AGAINST TSINGHUA UNIVERSITY

BEIJING, China – Playing in the first game of Trinity Western's Goodwill Trip to China, the Spartans lost 77-64 against Tsinghua University Saturday.

QUOTABLE
Trevor Pridie, TWU Head Coach
"It was a really cool experience to play a really good team in Tsinghua. It was a fun atmosphere to play in here. They're well-coached, so it was great for our guys to play a team that is that big and physical as Tsinghua. Considering our travel and the long days we've had, I thought we showed up relatively well today. Jack (Vandenberg) was really good today. Marcus (Shankar) continues to play well and we were happy with Connor (Platz) as he matched their physicality.

"First-year Logan (Stewart) was awesome today. I've known him for a long time and coached him for many years, so nothing surprises me with that kid. But I think he surprised a few players on our team because he just has this quiet demeanor and then on the court he goes out and does cool things and had a dunk. He's going to be a great player for us."
