SPARTANS SHOOT SIX UNDER ON THE FINAL DAY OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP

ROCK HILL, South Carolina– The Trinity Western Spartans men's team finished with a six-under-par round to finish at -6 at the Collegiate Disc Golf National Championships Saturday afternoon at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

A few putts from distance and just a bit more precision off the tee helped the Spartans jump to 37th place in the tournament and end the event with a solid round. The NCAA championship featured 50 Div. I teams, 92 Div. II teams, and 47 Div. III teams. Going into the event they were ranked 45 in the final power rankings of the year.

QUOTABLE
Trinity Western head coach Chris Hartmann
"Overall, a very successful National tournament for the Spartans disc golf program with two of the five men making the Div I top 16 in singles and playing in the singles final, in a field of 200 men."

"These last six days here have been long with hot and very humid weather and I'm proud of how the team prepared for this and kept emotional energy levels high right to the final hole, despite physical and mental exhaustion playing a role late in rounds the last couple days."
