QUOTABLE
Mike Shearon, TWU Head Coach
"It was nice to get a win tonight. In the first 20 to 30 minutes, we withstood a lot of pressure. TRU came out and wanted to make sure that they put on a good performance tonight, and I was really proud of the guys that we bent a lot, but we didn't break. We fixed a few things at halftime, came out in the second half, and got the goal that we were looking for. And then we were able to put two more in, which for us is a pretty big deal right now, based on how things have been going over the last few games. ?And to get a shutout clean sheet was also very, very good based on how TRU played and some of the chances they had. So overall, we'll take it and move on to the next weekend and try to have a good performance over Homecoming."

AS IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless first half, TWU's Dan-Adokiene opened the scoring on a penalty kick in the 47th minute. Dan-Adokiene was awarded the penalty kick after he was taken down on the right side of the box while driving towards the WolfPack net. Dan-Adokiene got his second of the night in the 59th minute. The goal was set up by second-year defender Gabriel Moore (Ottawa), who beat the left back and went hard towards the TRU net. Moore then found Dan-Adokiene in the centre of the penalty area to make it 2-0 for TWU. Wiebe made it a three-goal game in the 72nd minute after converting a corner kick from second-year forward Marc Huizenga (Vancouver), putting the Spartans up 3-0 with 18 minutes remaining in the match.
