KELOWNA – The Spartans hopped on the bus after their win Friday night and hit the road to cap off their regular season against the UBCO Heat. They ended it on a winning note, taking down the home team with a final score of 63-60
The Spartans led for the majority of the game, but fell behind late in the fourth quarter. Myrlaine Shelvey and Cassidy Buchanan each scored clutch buckets down the stretch to tie, and ultimately seal the win on the night.
Cassidy Buchanan (Aldergrove, B.C.) led the way on the offensive end, scoring 14 points, going 6-11 from the field. Myrlaine Shelvey (Langley, B.C.) and Moriah Jansen (Spallumcheen, BC) both had 12 points themselves. For the Heat, Tsuki Tsuzuki led the way with a game high 16 points.

The Spartans have ended their regular season, but will host a playoff game at the Langley Events Centre on February 14th, with the opponent still to be determined. Tip off is set for 8 p.m. (PT) and can be seen live on Canada West TV.
