LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western second-year outside hitter
Zach Hofer (Langley, B.C.) is the Spartans Male Athlete of the Week after helping lead the Spartans to a weekend sweep of the Mount Royal Cougars this past weekend at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C.
In Friday's 3-1 win over the Cougars, the business student finished with eight kills, four digs, and one ace. Then, on Saturday in the Spartans' 3-0 win over the Cougars, Hofer had a career-best 12 kills, hitting an impressive .611, with three aces and three digs.
Hofer and the rest of the Spartans will have a bye week before they begin the Canada West Quarter Finals on February 26, when they will host the winner of the Brandon Bobcats Saskatchewan Huskies play-in series in a best-of-three series at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C. All games will be streamed live on Canada West TV.
