LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western's fourth-year blueliner
Presleigh Giesbrecht (Gretna, Man.) has been named a Canada West second-team all-star after her solid 2025-26 season. While the Spartans' rookie blueliner
Sadie Isfeld (Coquitlam, B.C.) also earned Canada West recognition, earning all-rookie team honours.
Giesbrecht earned her first Canada West all-star team nomination with her selection to the second team. Giesbrecht finished the season with six goals and eight assists for 14 points. Isfeld was named to the all-rookie team after finishing the season with four goals and 11 assists for 15 points.
The Spartans will begin the Canada West semifinals this weekend, February 27-March 1, against the No. 1 UBC Thunderbirds at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre. Friday's and Saturday's games are scheduled for 12 p.m. (PT) and 3 p.m. (PT). Sunday's game is if necessary in the best of three series and scheduled for 3 p.m. (PT).

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 11 sports in the Canada West conference, including women's and men's soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey and track & field, as well as women's rugby sevens.
