LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western first-year blueliner
Sadie Isfeld (Coquitlam, B.C.) is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after helping lead the Spartans to a weekend sweep with two wins over the MacEwan Griffins this past weekend in Edmonton, Alta.
In Friday's 4-0 win the business student had one goal and one assist with three shots, then on Saturday in the Spartans 5-2 win, Isfeld again had one goal and one assist with four shots on goal.
The Spartans are now in a battle for second place in the West Division, as they are currently tied with the Alberta Pandas with 27 points, with TWU holding the tiebreaker after going 4-2 against the Pandas this season
Isfeld and the rest of the Spartans will now host the Regina Cougars for the final two Canada West conference games on February 13-14 at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C. Game times are set for 1 p.m. (PT) on Friday, and 3 p.m. (PT) on Saturday. Both games will be streamed live on Canada West TV.
