LANGLEY, British Columbia– Trinity Western’s Maryn Boldon (Okotoks, Alta.) is the Spartan Female
Athlete of the Week after averaging 4.7 points, 3.6 kills, and 1.3 digs per set in the Spartans' two wins against the Mount Royal Cougars this past weekend at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C. The two 3-1 wins move the No. 1 Spartans to 12-0 in conference play.
In Friday night’s 25-16, 18-25, 25-16, 28-26 win, the second-year outside hitter had 13 kills, seven digs, and one block for 17.5 points. Then in Saturday night’s 25-21, 25-21, 23-25, 25-17 win, the Human Kinetics student had 16 kills, two service aces, three digs, and four blocks for 20 points.
Boldon is currently averaging 3.69 kills, 4.3 points, 1.69 digs, and 0.40 blocks per set in Canada West conference play.
TWU will now head on the road for two games in Winnipeg, Man. against the Manitoba Bisons on January 12 and 13. Game times are set for 7:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. and can be seen live on Canadawest.TV.
