LANGLEY, British Columbia - Trinity Western forward Mansha Sidhu (Surrey, B.C.) Â has been named the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after helping to lead the Spartans to a weekend sweep of the Fraser Valley Cascades in a home-and-home series.

On Friday night the general studies student played 75 minutes, in the Spartans to a 4-0 victory over the Cascades in Abbotsford, B.C. Then on Saturday the second-year scored two goals and played 90 minutes in come-from-behind 4-2 victory over Fraser Valley at Chase Office Field.

Sidhu and the second place (7-3-2) Spartans will now finish off Canada West conference play next weekend, October 18-19, when they host the UNBC Timberwolves and the UBC Thunderbirds. Match time on both nights is set to kick off at 5 p.m. at Chase Office Field and can be seen live on Canada West TV.Â
