LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western fourth-year outside hitter Kaden Schmidt (Mississauga, Ont.) is the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after helping to lead the Spartans to a sweep of the Fraser Valley Cascades in a home-and-home series this past weekend.

On Friday, the education student had 17 kills, two digs, and one ace while hitting .444 to lead the Spartans to a 3-0 win at the UFV Gym in Abbotsford, B.C. Then on Saturday, Schmidt had 12 kills, with zero errors to hit at .857, while adding one ace and one block in the Spartans' 3-0 win at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C.

Schmidt and the Spartans are off this weekend but will return to action on October 31 and November 1 when they will travel to Winnipeg to take on the Winnipeg Wesmen.
