LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western University's Gracer Konrad (Edmonton) is this week's Spartan Female Athlete of the Week, presented by Applewood AutoGroup, after winning two silver medals, in the 300m and the 600m, at the U SPORTS Championships.
Konrad, who is a three-time Canada West champion in the 300m, finished second in the 300m in 38.38 to earn her first-ever trip to the national podium. A day later, she finished second in the 600m in 1:32.23. Konrad, who entered the national championships ranked ninth in the country in the 600m, also set the TWU record in the 600m with a time of 1:30.34 in the preliminaries.
She also anchored the Spartans 4x200m to a fourth place finish.
