LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western forward
Amy Potomak (Aldergrove, B.C.) has been named a Canada West Second-Team All-Star after leading the Spartans to their first-ever conference playoffs in their second season of U SPORTS hockey.
Potomak led the Spartans in goals and assists, tallying 12 in each category across 27 games played in TWU's 2022-23 campaign.
The fifth-year forward's tallies were good enough to finish third in goals, and fifth in points at the end of the season.
With a season full of highlights, Potomak's best achievement came in the form of a four-goal weekend against No. 5-ranked Alberta. The Spartans swept the Pandas that weekend, earning their first victories against a ranked opponent in the U SPORTS Top 10.
The Spartans take on Mount Royal at Flames Community Arena for a best of three series in the Canada West quarterfinals. Each game will be played at 7:00 p.m. (MT) from Feb. 17-19. To tune into the action, head over to
