UDOH SETS WEIGHT THROW RECORD AGAIN

EDMONTON – Trinity Western's Erica Udoh (Winnipeg) broke the TWU weight throw record for the second straight week, throwing 13.83m at the Golden Bears Open Saturday at the Universiade Pavilion.

Udoh bettered her previous Spartans record of 13.63m.

On the men's side, Ethan Gremaud (Kamloops, B.C.) led the Spartans on the day, as he finished second in the heptathlon with 4,821 points.

On the second and final day of the heptathlon, Gremaud, who captured gold at last year's Canada West Championships, finished first in pole vault (3.90m), third in the 60m hurdles and fourth in the 1000m (2:55.48).

Nicolas Martin Huerta (Santiago, Chile) was fourth in high jump and Caleb Emon was fifth, after both cleared 1.91m.

Oke Okumo (Langley, B.C.) finished fourth in triple jump with a mark of 13.96m.
