RICHMOND, B.C. – Kenny Blackman Jr. (Surrey, B.C.) was once again flying at the Richmond Olympic Oval Saturday, as he earned the Performance of the Meet award after winning the 60m with a time of 6.85 Saturday at the Harry Jerome Indoor Games.
Coming off a weekend in which he ran a personal best 6.81 in Spokane, Wash., Blackman Jr. found himself leading the way for the Spartans with another impressive performance with less than three weeks to go before the Canada West Championships.
Blackman Jr. was one of four first-place finishing Spartans, as he was joined by
Romain Tourvieille de Labrouhe (Richmond, B.C.) in the 300m (37.46),
Ethan Gremaud (Kamloops, B.C.) in the 600m (1:28.58) and Alina Olson (Abbotsford, B.C.) in shot put (11.90m).
UP NEXT
TWU will now compete in the University of Washington's Husky Classic Feb. 9-10 in Seattle.
