OLSON WINS SHOT PUT AT HARRY JEROME INDOOR GAMES

RICHMOND, B.C. – Alina Olson (Abbotsford, B.C.) led the Spartans at the Harry Jerome Indoor Games, winning in shot put with a mark of 11.90m Saturday at the Richmond Olympic Oval.

Meanwhile, Kenny Blackman Jr. (Surrey, B.C.) was once again flying, as he earned the Performance of the Meet award after winning the 60m with a time of 6.85 Saturday at the Harry Jerome Indoor Games.

Coming off a weekend in which he ran a personal best 6.81 in Spokane, Wash., Blackman Jr. found himself leading the way for the Spartans with another impressive performance with less than three weeks to go before the Canada West Championships.

Olson and Blackman Jr. were amongst four first-place finishing Spartans, as they were joined by Romain Tourvieille de Labrouhe (Richmond, B.C.) in the 300m (37.46) and Ethan Gremaud (Kamloops, B.C.).
