LANGLEY, British Columbia – For the first time in their brief Canada West and U SPORTS history, the Trinity Western Spartans women's hockey team has cracked the U SPORTS Top 10, debuting at number 10 with 1576.9011 points. TWU is currently 4-2 with two wins over No. 6 Alberta and two overtime road wins over Saskatchewan and close road losses to No. 1 UBC. The women's soccer team remains in the Top 10 and moves up one spot to No. 6 after a pair of home wins over the Fraser Valley Cascades to conclude conference play in second place in the Pacific Division of the Canada West Conference.
The second place (West Division) 4-2 Spartans women's hockey team will now host the MacEwan Griffins this coming weekend at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C. Game times are scheduled for 1 p.m. (PT) on Friday, and 3 p.m. (PT) on Saturday and can be seen live on Canada West TV.
The 10-3-1 Spartans women's soccer squad will now host the opening round of the CW playoffs against the MacEwan Griffins (9-3-2), who finished third in the Prairie Division Game time on Friday, October 24 is set for 6 p.m. (PT) and can be seen live on Canada West TV. The winner will advance to the Canada West Final Four.
