Box Score CALGARY – Trinity Western's 2025 season came to an end Friday afternoon in Calgary after a 2-1 loss to Prairie Division regular season champion Mount Royal in the Canada West Quarter-Finals at MRU Field #2.

Emmanuel Dan-Adokiene, who led TWU in scoring with seven goals during the season, put TWU ahead with a goal in the 22nd minute, but a pair of second half goals from MRU, including the game-winner in the 88th minute from Clement Guay, saw the home side take the win.
Chanan Chanda, who had a team-leading seven goals in the regular season, scored the equalizer in the 72nd minute for a Cougars side that topped the Prairie Division with a 7-3-4 record.

Yeshua Silwamba made five saves, while his MRU counterpart Sjard Strauss stopped one of the two shots he faced.
The Cougars finished with a 12-7 edge in shots and a 13-3 advantage in corner kicks. TWU had 16 fouls to MRU's seven.
MRU, who has played in each of the last two Canada West championship matches, losing last year but winning in 2023, advances to the Canada West semifinals and will await the winner of the quarter-final between Lethbridge and Victoria.
The Spartans came into the contest as the fourth seed out of the Pacific Division following a 5-6-4 regular season.

• TWU finishes the 2025 season with a 5-7-4 record overall record, including a 3-3-3 record at home and a 2-4-1 record on the road.
• The Spartans have a 4-2-2 record all-time against Mount Royal.
• The Spartans and Cougars played to a 0-0 draw in their regular season meeting in Langley earlier this year.
