KAMLOOPS – The Trinity Western Spartans dominated the TRU Wolfpack on Friday night, with a final score of 64-37.
The Spartans had a low scoring first quarter, but were able to really ramp up the scoring in the second quarter scoring 27 points. After that, there was no looking back.They held the wolfpack to single digit points in both the third and fourth quarter, keeping them to below 40 points by the final buzzer.
Cassidy Buchanan (Aldergrove, B.C.) had a very efficient night on the road, putting up 24 points on 9 of 12 shooting. She also chipped in four rebounds and four assists to cap off a well rounded game. Blessing Ibekwe (Coquitlam, B.C.) was next up, scoring eight points going 4/5 from the field. For the Wolfpack, Kylie Koppes had 13 points, and Morgan Eichenberger had 10.
