LAKEWOOD, Wash. – Trinity Western first-year
Hadassah Duff led the Spartans women's team in TWU's first cross country race of the season by finishing 16th overall with a time of 14:52.4 over the four-kilomtre race Saturday morning at Fort Steilacoom Park.
On the men's side, last year's U SPORTS Rookie of the Year
Yemane Mulugeta started the 2025 season in impressive fashion with a third place finish at the Gator Cross event, while teammate
David Mutai was fourth overall
Mulugeta clocked a time of 18:02.2 over the six-kilometre race, while Mutai was one second behind in 18:03.4. Justin Kiplagat rounded out the Spartans top three on the men's side, with a time of 18:32.9.
As a team, the Spartans men finished third overall. With only four runners competing on the women's side, the Spartans didn't have the requisite five competitors to register a team score.
