QUOTABLE
Peter Hay, TWU Head Coach
"We played a young roster to give them U SPORTS experience against a top team in Canada while sitting out top players. I was proud of how we came out and had a great first period before Concordia took over in the second. I was happy to see how we didn't give up and fought hard in the third and finished the game the right way. Lots to learn and grow from before the reg season begins."

NOTABLE
  • The Stingers led 2-1 after the first period and 4-1 after two periods
  • Concordia outshot TWU 34-13.
  • The Stingers were 1-3 on the power play, while the Spartans were 0-6.
  • This is the first time the Spartans and Stingers have played each other.
