SPARTANS CRUISE PAST TIMBERWOLVES ON SENIOR NIGHT

LANGLEY - The Spartans were nothing but smiles on Saturday, beating the Timberwolves 102-65.

The Spartans were celebrating graduating seniors Connor Platz (Langley, B.C.) and David Mutabazi (Delta, B.C.) who have both had very successful careers as Spartans. The vibes were high before the game, and remained high right until the final buzzer, as the Spartans seemed to have everything click offensively, putting up triple digits for the second time this season.

Tyus Devries (Chilliwack, B.C.), led the way with 21 points. Jack Vandenberg (Vancouver, B.C.), was next up with 15 points. Connor Platz had 12 of his own, and Marcus Shankar (Campbell River, B.C.) and Rondell Moore (Watts, California) both chipped in 10.

QUOTABLE

TWU Head Coach Trevor Pridie

"Couldn't ask for a better way to send out Connor Platz and David Mutabazi. Senior night at the LEC, last home game of the season, and a complete team effort. All 12 guys played, all 12 scored. Hopefully this is a nice team building win and we can continue rolling. Really happy with how we are playing. Great game by Tyus. He has had a fantastic semester."

  • Interior scoring was dominant, as TWU outscored Northern BC 46–18 in the paint, showcasing physicality, rim pressure, and finishing ability inside.

  • Bench production made a significant impact, contributing 57 points, allowing Trinity Western to maintain tempo and scoring depth for all 40 minutes.

  • Rebounding supported offensive flow, as TWU won the battle on the glass 49–34, limiting second chances and securing defensive stops.

  • Transition play added momentum, with 14 fastbreak points, capitalizing on defensive rebounds and quick outlet opportunities.
