CORVALLIS, Ore. –Trinity Western second-year middle distance runner
Yemane Mulugeta (Surrey, B.C.) has been named the Cascade Collegiate McDonald's Men's Outdoor Track Player of the Week, as presented by Urban Edge Network.
Mulugeta, a sophomore runner from Surrey, B.C., had a standout showing at the UBC Open. He won the 5000m, recording a time of 14:06.20 to reach an 'A' Standard and claim the top spot in the NAIA this season.
Mulugeta and the Spartans will head to the USA for two meets on April 2 and April 4. On April 2, the Spartans will be at the ALTIS Spring Tune-Up in Paradise Valley, Arizona, and then on April 4, they will head to Las Vegas, Nevada, for the UNLV Rebel Elite meet.
