LANGLEY, B.C. –Trinity Western midfielder Lauren Spiller (Surrey, B.C.) is the Canada West Female Athlete of the Week. The rookie notched her first three goals as a Spartan and added an assist on five shots on goal to lead the Spartans to two wins this weekend.

On Friday night the first-year Psychology student played 66 minutes and had two goals and an assist as the Spartans defeated the Regina Cougars 4-0 at Chase Office Field.

Spiller followed up on Saturday night with another goal and two shots on goal to help the Spartans to a 3-0 win over the Saskatchewan Huskies.

The Spartans, 5-1-3, will stay at home this weekend, September 29-30. TWU will host the UBC Okanagan Heat on Friday night at 6 p.m., and then the Thompson Rivers WolfPack on Saturday night at 5 p.m. Both matches can be seen live on Canada West TV.
