LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western fifth-year sprinter Danny Earles (Conception Bay, NL) has been named the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after qualifying for the U SPORTS championship with his performance this past weekend at the Inland Northwest Invitational in Spokane, Wash.
The business student finished second overall in 33.96 to earn automation qualification for nationals. Earles is now fifth in the U SPORTS 300m rankings, just ahead of teammate Rui Ramsey (34.01), who grabbed his national ticket earlier this year.
Earles and the rest of the Spartans will have a week off before heading to the Whitworth Invitational on February 14-15 in Spokane, Wash.
