QUOTABLE
TWU Director of Rugby – Andrew Evans
"This weekend has been the best start for our Spartans program ever. Early in preseason, we have now tested ourselves against some very good competition, and we have bonded and rallied around our vision.
"There is a strong belief and drive from our entire squad. The additions of
Cheye Gustafson (Langley, B.C.) and
Ava Van Santen (Abbotsford, B.C.) have been a great boost already and leaders like
Issy Scholtens (Langley) and
Michelle Veerman Quezada (White Rock, B.C.) are inspiring the team.
"We are leaving LA with a lot of work to do and with a lot of faith."
