REISDORF AS 3000M PERSONAL BEST TO HELP LEAD SPARTANS IN SEATTLE

SEATTLE – On a day full of personal bests for Trinitiy Western Univesity athletes, the Spartans Naomi Reisdorf helped lead the way at the University of Washington Preview with a personal best record of 10.20.11 in the 3000m Friday at Dempsey Indoor.

Aliyah Adomi also had an impressive personal best in the 60m hurdles, running 9.32 to finish 15th overall.

On the men's side, Rui Ramsey made a statement in his first-ever meet as a Spartan, winning the 200m in 21.65 and coming fifth in the 60m with a personal best 6.85 Friday at Dempsey Indoor.

Brandon Gremaud set the TWU shot put record, bettering his own mark, which he set earlier this year, with a throw of 13.34m to finish seventh overall in Seattle. His previous Spartans record was 12.84m.

Caleb Emon had a personal best in high jump, clearing 1.97m and coming just five centimetres shy of the TWU record of 2.03m, which is held by Stephen Humphrey (Feb. 25, 2017).

Yemane Mulugeta (8:17.18) and David Mutai (8:35.13) all post best-ever times in the 3000m.

QUOTABLE
Shane Wiebe, TWU Head Coach
"We had at least 10 huge personal best performances today, led by Rui Ramsay. It was a pretty good start to the season and I'm happy with the way this team pulled it together today. We as coaches are happy with the results and look forward to what is going to transpire from here."

UP NEXT
The Spartans will have a week off before competing in the Inland Northwest Invitational Feb. 1 in Spokane, Wash.
