LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western fourth-year guard
Cassidy Buchanan is the Spartan Female Athlete of the Week after averaging 24.5 points/game in helping to lead the Spartans to a weekend split with a win over the Victoria Vikes and a close loss to the UBC Thunderbirds.
On Friday night in Victoria, B.C., the human kinetics student finished with 21 points, nine rebounds, four steals, and two assists in the Spartans' 76-67 win over the Victoria Vikes. Then on Saturday night, Buchanan had a career high 28 points, to go with three assists, and two rebounds in the Spartans' 62-50 loss to the UBC Thunderbirds at home at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C.
Cassidy and the Spartans will return to action this weekend, October 31 and November 1, when they host the Fraser Valley Cascades at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C. The games are scheduled for 6 p.m. (PT) and 4 p.m. (PT) and can be seen live on Canada West TV.
