LANGLEY, British Columbia –Trinity Western fifth-year setter
Anselm Rein (Erfurt, Germany) is the Spartan Male Athlete of the Week after helping the Spartans to improve to 5-0 in preseason play with a 4-0 record in their four-game tour of OUA teams in Ontario.
The biology student led the Spartans to wins over Windsor. 3-1, 3-1, Guelph 3-0, and Waterloo 3-1, and finished the tour by leading the team to a .415 hitting efficiency, with 10 service aces.
Rein and the Spartans will play in the Blue Team Cup Oct. 2-4, with games against UBC (Oct. 2 at the Thunderbirds' War Memorial Gym), UBC Okanagan (Oct. 3 at the Langley Events Centre), and Mount Royal (Oct. 4 at the LEC).
