Box Score ALDERGROVE, B.C. – Trinity Western made it a game against the No. 3-ranked and Canada West-leading Calgary Dinos, but came up just short as the visiting Dinos skated away with an 4-2 win Friday at the Aldergrove Credit Union Community Centre. TWU netminder

AS IT HAPPENED

Poole opened the scoring at 4:19 of the first period before Kydd doubled the visitor's lead beating Audet on his glove side after a nifty in-tight dangle off the rush.
The second period started with more of the same, with Joseph scoring a long-awaited first goal of the season to make it 3-0 at 7:42 over his former team. However, the Spartans made it a game late, with Cameron tallying his second of the season at 16:08. Then, with just 47 second left in the frame, Lowe scored his second of the year to close to gap to just one goal, 3-2, heading to the third period.
QUOTABLE
Ben Walter – Head Coach
"Raph just battled and he kept us in it, especially through some of those penalty kills. Some of the saves he's making, it's just effort and athleticism. He's really taken a step. He did everything we could ask for. I'm really happy for him and he's done a great job.
"Calgary is a good team. They're hard to play against. They're fast and their defence are always up in the rush. They're moving all the time. They're hard to defend at times. I thought we got better as the game went on. I thought we adjusted pretty well to what they were doing. Part of that is we need to be aggressive as well. We can't sit back against a team like that. I thought we did a better job of it in the second half, but we can't take that many penalties against a team like that."
