Adam Schriemer, TWU Head Coach
"I think the ups and downs made it feel like a Canada West game. Sometimes it was back and forth for a while and then one team will have a run and the other team will catch a run – so that's why it felt like Canada West. I thought there were moments when our reception broke down and that's why their runs sped up and then there were moments when we weren't clean enough in transition. But that's also why we went on runs too. We heated up with serving and were clean in transition. What hurt us also helped us today, which is why it was up and down. I think more experience in games that feel like Canada West helps us. We have to grind and compete for two hours and that's what we had to do today.
"In general, as we prepare for the regular season, I love our depth. The fact that we have three or four different outside hitters who can play, four or five middles who can play, two setters that can play, three or four guys who can play opposite and two liberos – that's going to help us in a long grueling season."
