DAN-ADOKIENE SELECTED 7TH OVERALL BY CAVALRY FC IN CPL-U SPORTS DRAFT

LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western striker Emmanuel Dan-Adokiene was selected seventh overall by his hometown team Cavalry FC in the 2026 CPL-U SPORTS Draft Friday morning.

The second-year Spartans star, who hails from Calgary, led TWU in scoring this past season with eight goals in 15 regular season games while also tallying the Spartans lone goal in their Canada West quarter-final match.

In his first year, in 2024, Dan-Adokiene was named to the Canada West All-Rookie Team after scoring two goals in 13 games.

Dan-Adokiene is the sixth Spartan to be selected in the CPL-U SPORTS draft, following in the footsteps of Joel Waterman (2018, Cavalry FC, 14th.), Jake Ruby (2019, Halifax Wanderers, 14th), CJ Rossi (2022, York United, 5th), Brandon Torresan (2023, Pacific FC, 13th) and Thomas Powell (2024, Vancouver FC, 15th).
