WATERLOO, Ont. – Trinity Western capped its Ontario tour with a 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-22, 25-14) win over Waterloo Sunday afternoon at the Physical Activity Complex.
The victory sees the Spartans take four win in four days against OUA competition and improve to 5-0 in the preseason so far, including a win last week against Thompson Rivers at home.

Adam Schriemer, TWU Head Coach
"One of the things we know about volleyball is that when the terminal serve battle is going against you, it can make winning really difficult. I think for the majority of the game we felt that. As the game went on, we started to find our serve and we were able to get the ball off their libero so we could find more results. But it's good for us to win a game when we didn't serve well because during this Ontario tour, we definitely had an advantage serving. I think offensively, first ball was great again today.
Anselm Rein is playing the best volleyball he's ever played wearing a Spartan uniform and it's great to see him so dialed.
"The play of Kaden was spectacular again today. It was nice to see
Cory Schoenherr get a start in his hometown. It was great for us to get him in after a long summer of playing volleyball. He was pretty fatigued but he found a way to get on the court and play well.
"The Ontario tour was a success. The guys are playing at a good level and we're excited for the most prestigious tournament in college volleyball when we host the Blue Team Cup next weekend."
