LANGLEY, British Columbia – The Trinity Western Spartans open the Canada West season as the No. 7 ranked team according to the Canada West preseason coaches' poll. The Spartans will kick off the season Thursday night at 5 p.m. in Kelowna, B.C., against the NO. 13-ranked UBC Okanagan Heat. The match can be seen live on Canada West TV for free as the CW free game of the week.
The Spartans are looking to improve on last year's performance and move further into the postseason. TWU has several new faces and will see
Jordan Low return to anchor the midfield after missing most of last season with an injury. Rookie keeper
Jakob Frank will look to backstop the Spartans' defence this season.

Jordan has put in tremendous work over the last 10 months to be ready for his final season. He is counted on to lead the team with competitiveness, intelligence, and example. He can set up goals, score goals, and is one the Spartans' best players without the ball. He is one of the top players in Canada West for his overall well-rounded ability.
